Course Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) complies with the initial and annual bloodborne pathogens training requirements of OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030 and is recognized or approved nationwide by many states, counties, and cities for body art bloodborne pathogens training.

Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) is an online, interactive, narrated course that helps body artists protect themselves and their clients from infection and disease. There are English, Spanish, and Vietnamese versions of the course.
Once the course is started, a body artist can sign out and then return and pick up where he or she left off. Desk top computers, laptops, and tablets provide the best viewing experience for this course, but cell phones can also be used.
This industry-specific training provides body artists with a clear understanding of bloodborne pathogens and communicable diseases. Body artists taking this online BBP course can ask questions and receive answers from a subject matter expert via phone.
After finishing the course, a bloodborne pathogens certificate of completion can be immediately printed.

Microblading is…
- Microblading is the art of placing strokes into the eyebrow area in an attempt to make the brows look more real. Or Microblading is a type of eyebrow architecture. It is all about creating the best shape for each face – a totally bespoke approach for each client. The process is very precise thanks to the tool that is used which is effectively like a pen with the nib being a sloped blade with 10-12 little needles at the end – needles that don’t penetrate the skin but just delicately scratch the surface, much like a paper cut.
Shading is…
- Shading or “powder-fill” is one part of the microblade procedure. Shading means a stipling technique where the microblading is pushed directly down against the skin. It’s used on those who have very sparse brows and need a more defined shape. It’s often done in combination with microblading, so you have the shadow underneath and then the stokes on top. Make sense?! Here’s a picture of shading. See how different it looks? It’s definitely a bolder brow.
